Soap
For the 2021 holidays, I made my first bars of soap as a holiday gift. My partner and I did it again this year, and for the most part, we enjoyed the process. To be clear, the only issues we had were our own timing issues and feeling like we didn’t leave enough time. So, I thought it would be a great opportunity to incorporate soap making into my life in something that didn’t have as much of a time crunch to it.
Exploring the Process
I know that I want to continue to work with soap recipes that aren’t already pre-mixed. I want to use this opportunity to learn more about how soap recipes are developed so that I can better swap ingredients to avoid allergens.
Project: Soap
All of that will end up with a bar of soap. If you’ve been going through these projects, you’ll notice that there’s a general theme - a craft that I want to explore more, a specific plan to explore that process, and then a final project that incorporates themes from the base book to create a thing. I’ll add more here when I have more to add!
